Our work depends on an Administrative Travel Coordinator joining our team to coordinate Government travel requirements internally and across partner agencies, promulgate travel plans, and as needed, suggest improvements and innovations to the travel program.

HOW THE ADMINISTRATIVE TRAVEL COORDINATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Coordinate travel requirements and lodging in support of assessment visits, mission partner meetings, exercises and mission support activities for travel groups typically in groups of 5-15 personnel with periodic travel events up to 40 personnel.
  • Ability to coordinate travel arrangements independently from the Defense Travel System (DTS) but still conform to established travel procedures in the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
  • Coordinate travel plans and itineraries for both internal personnel and various supported and supporting elements, requiring close coordination with all parties.
  • Assess travel procedures and make process improvement recommendations.
  • Promulgate reports and travel plans as required.
  • Maintain administrative records physically and/or electronically and perform additional administrative support functions during periods of reduced travel activities.
  • Ability to travel periodically up to 1 week within the continental U.S. to support exercises and operations if required.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Required Experience: 5 years of experience providing travel support.
  • Required Technical Skills: Understanding of the Joint Travel Regulations. Strong organizational and administrative.
  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI Eligible
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Strong oral and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, dynamic environment; ability to convey conceptual ideas both written and verbally; strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook); customer service and problem-solving skill are essential
  • Preferred Skills: Some experience coordinating travel, working directly with airlines, hotels, and car rental companies. helpful. Knowledge and experience with Government travel claims.
  • Location: On Customer Site, Arlington, Virginia. No remote work options.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $36.77 - $49.75. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
