Job Description

Based in the National Capital Region,  Pivot Path Solutions, LLC is a government contracting and management consulting firm that offers enterprise IT solutions, strategic planning, organizational development, and business transformation services to help customers adapt and thrive in changing market conditions. Pivot Path Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agile PM/Scrum Master  who  will lead and mentor Agile teams, ensuring the effective application of Scrum principles and practices to deliver high-quality software products. You will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, and foster an environment of continuous improvement. This is a remote position, but candidates are preferred in Washington DC Metro Area. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scrum Facilitation: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and coach Agile teams in Scrum principles, practices, and roles.
  • Impediment Removal: Identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between the team and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor team performance and help teams achieve their goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement and facilitate the implementation of best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners to manage the product backlog and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on team progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • US citizen, must have an active IRS MBI Public Trust clearance.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in a scrum master role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiently read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Proven experience in leading Agile transformations and coaching teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and Scrum framework.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Confluence).
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a software development environment.
  • Experience as a Project Manager.
  • Experience with schedule development and schedule management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI Agile Certification (PMP-ACP).
  • Ability to manage multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with scaling frameworks like SAFe, LeSS, or Nexus
