Job Description:

  • Defines, executes and maintains quality acceptance test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications; ensures thorough documentation of test results and maintains a comprehensive repository of all testing activities, including defect logs for accessibility and up-to-date information for all stakeholders.
  • Identifies and assesses risks related to software quality and testing; develops mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address identified risks.
  • Identifies key performance indicators (KPIs) for testing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Identifies opportunities for test automation, implements and maintains automated testing tools and frameworks, and ensures regular updates and maintenance of test scripts.
  • Generates and presents detailed test reports and metrics to management and other stakeholders; provides actionable insights and recommendations based on testing outcomes.
  • Seeks opportunities for professional development that will enhance job performance, including building networks within the University and with colleagues at peer institutions and with an eye towards broadly diversifying the advancement profession.
  • Executes tests and evaluates results, investigating suspected product defects and analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures.
  • Coordinates with others to determine ideal testing given available resources. With a moderate level of guidance, serves as a backup to other user support personnel.
  • Performs other related work as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing, including experience with test plan development, execution, and maintenance, or related roles.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in test automation, including the implementation and maintenance of automated testing tools and frameworks.

Technical Skills or Knowledge:

  • Broad knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and processes, including both manual and automated testing practices.
  • â‹Broad experience working with Salesforce CRM.
  • Knowledge and understanding of higher education advancement industry.

Working Conditions

  • This position has a hybrid work schedule which includes weekly in office presence.
  • This position is located in Hyde Park at 5235 South Harper Court.
  • Standard office environment
  • Travel to campus and/or non-campus locations for University business.
  • Work evenings and weekends as needed.
