Responsibilities and Duties:

The ASV Security Consultant will be responsible for managing and running our ASV program in accordance with the PCI SSC ASV Program Guide.

• Working closely with customers to understand their external scanning needs.
• Setting up and configuring scan portals, running scans, and assisting customers with the process.
• Leveraging your expertise to ensure compliance with PCI DSS standards and guidelines.

Required Certifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Assurance, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in vulnerability scanning and/or penetration testing.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in at least two of the following areas (for a total of 2 years experience overall):
  • IT Security Auditing and Risk Assessment
  • Network Security
  • Application Security
  • Computer Systems Security
  • IT Security Auditing and Risk Assessment

• Possess ONE of the following:
  • A current industry-recognized security certification such as CISA, CISM, CISSP

OR

• An additional two (2) years of experience in at least two (2) of the following areas of expertise (for a total of at least two (2) additional years’ experience overall across the following four (4) disciplines):
  • Network security
  • Application security
  • Computer systems security
  • IT security auditing and risk assessment

Knowledge and Skills:

• Comprehensive understanding of PCI DSS, ASV Program requirements, and related documentation.
• Knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools and methodologies.
• Strong reasoning and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex security and technical concepts into actionable insights for engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

• Commitment to staying up-to-date with annual PCI SSC training and successfully passing the ASV Program training examination.
