About this role

As a BDR/SDR at Weaviate, you will play a critical role in driving our growth. You will combine traditional outreach methods with advanced, data-driven techniques to identify and engage potential customers. This position demands a proactive approach to pipeline development and nurturing leads through innovative strategies and personalized engagement.

This is What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Use tools like Apollo.io/Outreach, CommonRoom/Pocus, HubSpot/Salesforce, and Clay to identify high-potential leads within target markets. We want someone who is excited and knowledgeable about the change in go-to-market technologies.
  • Outbound Outreach: Conduct personalized email and call campaigns, and social media/community engagement to initiate conversations with potential clients.
  • Lead Qualification: Qualify leads through detailed needs analysis, aligning Weaviate’s capabilities with customer pain points.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of all interactions and follow-ups in HubSpot, ensuring a robust and active sales pipeline.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and sales teams to align strategies and ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends and Weaviate’s evolving product offerings to communicate value effectively.

What we are looking for

  • Experience: 1-3 years in a BDR/SDR role in a tech or SaaS environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for crafting compelling outreach messages.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to leverage data to refine outreach strategies and improve lead conversion rates.
  • Tools Proficiency / Willingness to Learn: Experience with sales and marketing tools such as Apollo.io, CommonRoom, BigQuery, HubSpot, and Clay.com.
  • Technical Acumen: Understanding of AI, machine learning, or vector search technologies is a plus.
  • Motivation: A self-starter with a proactive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, and fully remote environment.
