Position: Carpenter
Location:  Whim Event Rentals and Camp Lucy Resort Property
Job Type: Full-time, Year-Round
Salary: $22-$25 hourly
Benefits: Health insurance, paid time off (vacation), and nine paid holidays

We are a dynamic and growing rental and event company, operating in tandem with a beautiful resort property. Our business specializes in creating extraordinary experiences through high-quality rentals, custom event setups, and maintaining our resort to the highest standards. As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced carpenter to join our team.

Job Overview:
As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing various carpentry duties across both our rental and event company and resort property. This includes everything from creating custom event setups and furniture to maintaining and repairing resort structures. Your expertise will help us deliver memorable events, and ensure the upkeep and safety of our property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Custom Event Builds: Construct and assemble custom furniture, décor, and structures for events, ensuring they meet design specifications and are safe for use.
• Repairs & Maintenance: Conduct repairs and maintenance on resort structures such as cabins, decks, patios, and other buildings.
• Property Upkeep: Help with general carpentry needs, including flooring, windows, doors, framing, cabinetry, and finishing work around the resort property.
• Event Support: Collaborate with the event planning team to bring their vision to life, including building stages, seating arrangements, and other event features.
• Material Management: Order and manage materials for projects, ensuring proper inventory and cost control.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work is completed in adherence to safety regulations and building codes.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects and that events run smoothly.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably with experience in both residential and event-related carpentry.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, designs, and technical drawings.
• Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to a variety of carpentry projects, from creative event setups to resort maintenance.
• Strong time management skills, able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience working in a hospitality or resort environment is a plus.
