Director of Document Source Print and Mail Center Location Hammond, LA : Thank you for your interest in employment with Southeastern Louisiana University. Southeastern Louisiana University's Document Source Print and Mail Center invites applications for the position of Director of Document Source Print and Mail Center. This is an administrative position responsible for managing, directing, planning, and supervising all the Document Source Print and Mail Center operations, including, but not limited to, production, customer service, accounting, technical applications, program development and enhancement. The Director is responsible for maintaining and improving the overall performance of The Document Source Print and Mail Center. Develops and implements long-term strategic operation plans and objectives while ensuring short term targets are achieved. Provides leadership to the staff to ensure a professional business environment with customer service as a top priority. Develops staff skills and encourages professional growth. Provides support for all printing and mail services to the campus community to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Also responsible for managing, directing, planning, and supervising all aspects of the Document Source Print and Mail Center. Oversees daily operations including but not limited to print, copy, and wide format production; mail production; USPS/multi-carrier shipping operations; and mail merge/bulk mail services. Develops, implements, and assesses all departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the billing procedures and accounting functions for departmental and retail business, as well as, payables to vendors. Provides leadership to the staff to ensure a professional business environment with customer service as a top priority. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree from an accredited university by hire date Five years of experience in the printing trade, including four years of supervisory experience Five years of experience working in a customer service environment, preferably print/mail industry PREFERRED QUAILFICATIONS Bachelors degree from an accredited university in Business Management or Printing Industry Management DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITES AND SKILLS
- Experience in print production, including wide-format printing and mail services operations.
- Familiar with software and equipment used in mail services, printing and design including PC and Mac Computer operations, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Pro, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Experience in developing sound operational policies/procedures, administering a large budget, and staff supervision
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, and commitment to teamwork
- Ability to communicate in a professional, diplomatic, empathic, and tactful manner by phone, in writing, and in person
