A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Cultivate and nurture relationships with school leaders and faculty based on mutual respect, trust, and job competency
• Work collaboratively with a leadership team that relentlessly strives for improvement and is never short on new ideas
• Provide attention to detail in maintaining the school campus, including upkeep of the building and grounds, components of the physical plant, and janitorial services
• Establish and maintain a budget that ensures financial resources are used judiciously for daily operations and long-term needs
• Coordinate event logistics with members of the leadership team so that facility locations are prepped appropriately for a variety of events with the least disruption to the educational day
• Contribute to a positive school culture by acting with integrity and respect for faculty, staff, and parents by building collaborative and collegial relationships within appropriate professional boundaries
• Implement and manage campus security protocols, security officers, and emergency response plans  Think outside the box to creatively solve challenges
• Engage in the continuous pursuit of lifelong personal and professional development and reflection alongside a team of others doing the same

Physical Demands/ Ability to:

• Lift/ carry up to 50 lbs.
• Sit at a desk while working on the computer.
• Bend, twist, kneel, stoop, climb, and balance on a regular basis.
• Withstand outside weather conditions.
• Detect and exchange accurate information.
• Have close visual acuity to perform essential functions of the job.
• Withstand a moderate noise level in the work environment.

Experience:

• 5+ years in educational, industrial, commercial, or office (excluding residential or hotel) facility management or related experience.
• Experience with annual facility budgets, project management and capital planning.
