Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Manager to oversee our food production facility in Portland, Oregon. The ideal candidate will possess a strong entrepreneurial approach, exceptional leadership abilities, and a proven track record of maintaining operational standards. This role demands a hands-on approach to managing operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SPAN OF AUTHORITY

OPERATIONS & QUALITY CONTROL

• Oversee the daily operations of the food production facility, ensuring optimal efficiency and adherence to strict quality standards.
• Be able to have flexibility with work hours depending on business needs.
• Implement robust quality control measures to maintain the highest levels of product quality and safety.
• Understand, and ensure compliance with all USDA standards for operating a safe and compliant production plant.
• Demonstrate a commitment to achieving company objectives in sales fulfillment, service, product quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and manage a diverse team, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and exceptional work environment.
• Provide direction and guidance to the production team to ensure recipes are updated and executed appropriately.
• Attempt to resolve all internal and external concerns when they arise.
• Oversee the maintenance activities for the production facility, establish and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule.

STRATEGIC PLANNING & BUSINESS GROWTH

• Oversee all aspects of our Portland production facility, including production, supply chain management, and relations.
• Act as a contact for all orders
• Provide timely information and quality service.
• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and industry partners.

REPORTING & COMPLIANCE

• Commercially astute
• Present regular reports to ownership on facility performance and challenges.
• Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in a timely and organized manner.
• Know and comply consistently with all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs as outlined in the TKMM operations manual.
• Understand, implement, and ensure compliance with all USDA standards for operating a safe and compliant production plant.
