Join our Global Corporate Banking (GCB) Business Management team and play a pivotal role in shaping business strategy and optimizing performance. As a Business Manager supporting the Public Sector Group, you'll drive key initiatives and collaborate with regional and segment leads to develop growth strategies and management reporting.
As a Business Manager within the Public Sector Group, you will be instrumental in promoting key initiatives and working closely with regional and segment leads to formulate growth strategies and establish management reporting. Your role will extend to supporting key initiatives across the Public Sector franchise, including the J.P. Morgan Development Finance Institution and Sovereign Advisory. You will collaborate with regional and segment leads to monitor progress on growth initiatives and develop management reporting and KPI tracking mechanisms. This position reports directly to the head of business management for Public Sector & Infrastructure Funds.
Job Responsibilities: - Gather, analyze, and present data to facilitate decision-making and business progression.
- Coordinate financial management, including pipeline oversight, forecasts, budgets, and expense management.
- Review the competitive landscape and analyze market positions to develop growth strategies.
- Collaborate with product partners, sales teams, and business managers to identify client opportunities.
- Support the coordination of the client agenda, including client selection, coverage, and performance metrics.
- Influence the production of financial reporting and ad hoc financial analytics.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Public Sector regional and segment leads.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills: - Minimum 2 years of relevant financial services experience, ideally including business management experience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to articulate results to diverse audiences.
- Team-oriented and flexible, with project ownership skills.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and effective under pressure.
- Ability to structure and build quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Professionalism, discretion, and decision-making skills for interacting with senior executives.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills: - Experience working with Corporate or Investment banking teams.
- Understanding of wholesale banking products.
- Interest in Political Science.
