We are looking for a Head of Information Technology (IT) to lead our IT strategy and infrastructure initiatives and build a highly collaborative IT team. Position Overview:

Elve is seeking a results-driven Head of Information Technology to lead our IT strategy and infrastructure initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the company’s technology systems to support Elve’s business objectives and enable growth. This leadership role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic planning, and team management skills.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and execute the company’s IT strategy to align with Elve’s goals and objectives.
    • Drive the development of IT systems and processes from the ground up and build scalable solutions that support Elve's rapid growth as a startup.
  • Operational Effectiveness:

    • Working with our engineering and manufacturing teams, implement automation and integrate technologies to increase operational efficiency and enhance rapid manufacturing.
    • Support effective operations through optimization of data management. 
  • Compliance and Security:

    • Ensure system security, data integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations.  
    • Identify, plan, and lead projects to meet compliance requirements, including development and implementation of policies.
    • Key compliance guidelines relevant to Elve include the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and CMMC process, as well as compliance with software licensing agreements.
  • IT Infrastructure Management:

    • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust IT systems, including networks, software, hardware, and cloud solutions.
    • Oversee Elve’s MSP.
    • Be a key leader in the evaluation, recommendation and implementation of an ERP/MRP system, as well as other software systems.  
  • Vendor and Budget Management:

    • Manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of services and products.
    • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Team Leadership and Development:

    • Build and manage a high-performing IT team, fostering professional growth and development.  (The team will initially be small but is expected to grow along with Elve.  Part of building the overall team will include managing outside service providers.)

    • Cultivate a collaborative and innovative culture within the IT department and in relation to other departments.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in IT leadership.

  • Proven expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity and compliance (see relevant guidelines above).

  • Strong project management skills and experience in budget management and resource allocation.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

  • Experience of the following areas is a plus: 

    • High-performance engineering, manufacturing, or related industries 
    • IT for government contractors
    • Programming and data analysis 
  • To conform to U.S. Government technology export regulations, including Export Administration Regulations (EAR), to work in this role you must be a U.S. citizen.
