HR People Specialist

Position Overview
The HR People Specialist is responsible for managing a range of human resources functions, including employee benefits, payroll processes, compliance, and offboarding. This role aims to support the HR department in enhancing employee experiences and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage employee benefits programs, including open enrollment and benefit plan renewals.
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy in employee compensation.
• Assist with worker's compensation claims and compliance issues.
• Ensure adherence to COBRA regulations and manage related communications.
• Support unemployment claims process and documentation.
• Facilitate offboarding processes, including exit interviews and final pay calculations.
• Assist in new hire onboarding and orientation activities.
• Maintain HR compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in human resources or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of benefits administration, payroll processes, and employment laws.
• Experience with compliance issues related to COBRA, unemployment, and worker's compensation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
