Job Summary:
University Health Services is seeking a dedicated Medical Program Assistant to join our team. This role involves performing administrative duties to support the clinical efforts or providers and nurses in various clinics, including Primary Care, Gynecology/Sexual Health, and Community Health.

This position is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and a passion for supporting healthcare providers and patients.
Responsibilities: Performs administrative duties to support providers, staff, services, and unit programs. May serve as the primary contact or customer service representative and subject matter expert. Tracks, prioritizes, organizes, and completes multiple ongoing clinical, research or academic projects. Requires Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) knowledge or training.
- 75% Performs administrative tasks including telephone customer service, word processing, transcribing, filing, and calendaring
- 5% Acts as the primary liaison for providers or programs and refers stakeholders to providers, agencies, patients, and staff
- 5% Assists in coordinating the complex daily activities of providers or program(s) by entering information into databases, maintaining files and materials, and preparing reports
- 5% Serves as the primary contact and subject matter expert for specified program policies and procedures
- 5% Coordinates with senior management to define program goals and fiscal objectives
- 5% Identifies opportunities for program improvements and makes recommendations to the appropriate entities

Education: Required H.S. Diploma
Qualifications: Required:
- High school diploma
- Minimum of one year customer service experience
Preferred:
- Experience with MS office and scheduling software
- Administrative experience in a medical office, dental office, insurance office or similar fast
paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in a busy environment
- Awareness of diversity and inclusion in the workplace
Work Schedule: Work Schedule: Monday to Friday: 8:30AM - 5:00PM
Schedule may change based on operational needs.
Work Type: Full Time: 100%
This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at 333 East Campus Mall. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location. Subject to change based on operational needs.

Salary: Minimum $20.00 HOURLY
