REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have:
• A solid understanding of federal privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA, GLBA, FCRA, CAN-SPAM, COPPA, and the FTC Act), state privacy laws (e.g., CCPA), international privacy laws and regimes (e.g., GDPR), and technology and data flows;
• Experience conducting due diligence for M&A and financings, drafting privacy and security policies, negotiating privacy-related contracts and data processing agreements, providing product counseling, and conducting privacy compliance assessments;
• Superior academic credentials;
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills; and
• Strong professional references.
• Experience with adtech and AI is desirable but not essential.
• Exceptional candidates looking to transition to privacy and cybersecurity with experience in either M&A or technology transactions will be considered.
• California bar membership or eligibility to take the next available exam is required.
