Job Summary :
As a Public Relations and Communications Assistant - Entry Level at Amplified Connections, you will be responsible for supporting community and retail-based events, outreach campaigns, and engaging directly with the public. This fast-paced, hands-on role will allow you to assist in the execution of daily event operations, manage communication efforts, and contribute to raising funds for nonprofit organizations. Key Responsibilities :

  • Public Relations : Educate the public about nonprofit missions and goals, building awareness and encouraging support for charitable causes.
  • Fundraising Support : Assist in reaching fundraising targets through event promotion and donor engagement.
  • Event Logistics : Manage event operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of each event.
  • Customer Engagement : Be the primary point of contact for event attendees, answering questions, providing useful information, and creating a positive attendee experience.
  • Promote Participation : Distribute promotional materials and encourage involvement in fundraising activities and events.
  • Track Donations : Process donations and maintain accurate data on contributions to support fundraising goals.
  • Team Collaboration : Work as part of a team to execute events, meet objectives, and contribute to overall success.
  • Feedback Collection : Gather insights from event attendees to improve future public relations efforts and event strategies.
  • Training and Mentoring : Participate in team training sessions and assist in developing new team members.

Qualifications :

  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree is a plus but not required.
  • Skills : Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong passion for public relations and supporting nonprofit causes.
  • Personality : Outgoing, positive, and enthusiastic, with a drive to help others and make a difference.
  • Experience : Previous experience in customer service, public relations, sales, or event coordination is beneficial but not required.
  • Organizational Skills : Ability to manage time effectively and organize materials for successful event execution.
  • Basic Math Skills : Ability to process donations and track contributions accurately.
  • Commitment : Passionate about supporting nonprofits, social good, and creating a positive impact on communities.
  • Transportation : Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, as this is a traveling position.
