Under the limited progressing to general supervision of the Building/Grounds Superintendent, operate a refuse vehicle. Follow environmental and governmental laws on what can/cannot be landfilled. Perform daily operator maintenance on the vehicle per C.D.L. requirements. Assist in loading and emptying of refuse and must be able to work outside in varying weather conditions. Substitute operator of various pieces of equipment. This position requires a high degree of driving skills and safety consciousness due to the high concentration of pedestrian and motor vehicle traffic.Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison.
