Get to Know Your Team:

• The New Mexico Heart Institute at Lovelace Medical Center. New Mexico Heart Institute is a hospital out-patient department providing comprehensive cardiovascular care.

• Utilizes the nursing process while providing indirect patient care to established primary care patients with new onset of symptoms through the use of a telephone customer service call.
• The Triage Registered Nurse facilitates appropriate follow-up care based on urgent/emergent needs.
• The nurse is responsible for appropriate referral for follow-up care and scheduling of appointments.
• Adheres to policies procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum: Associate’s Degree or Diploma of Nursing 
• Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)
• BLS
• HIRING DEPARTMENT MAY ALSO REQUIRE ACLS and or PALS.

Preferred Job Requirements: 

• Desired: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Preferred: Two (2) years experience in specialty as well as Two (2) years general nursing experience.
