VP, Senior Private Banking Relationship Manager

 

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced VP, Senior Private Banking Relationship Manager , to join our growing Wealth Management team. This individual will play a critical role in managing and expanding a portfolio of high-net-worth clients across key emerging markets, including Southern California, Idaho, and Texas. The ideal candidate is a strategic relationship builder, financial advisor, and proactive business developer who thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of high-net-worth clients with complex private and commercial banking needs.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, delivering personalized financial solutions.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships and provide an exceptional client experience.

Business Development

  • Identify and acquire new clients through proactive outreach, referrals, and networking.
  • Attend and host events, meetings, and seminars to engage with potential clients.
  • Generate commercial lending and deposit opportunities aligned with division goals.

Collaboration & Internal Engagement

  • Partner with internal teams to deliver holistic financial services and solutions.
  • Support branch teams through coaching, training, and consultative selling strategies.
  • Refer clients to appropriate partners for wealth management, mortgage, and business banking needs.

Consultative Financial Guidance

  • Provide tailored financial advice to high-income/net-worth individuals.
  • Coordinate with clients' legal, tax, and estate planning professionals.
  • Ensure all services exceed client expectations through consistent follow-up and support.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in financial services, with at least 5 years in private or commercial banking.
  • Proven track record in client acquisition, portfolio growth, and revenue generation.

Skills & Competencies

  • Expertise in commercial lending, financial analysis, and credit underwriting.
  • Strong consultative sales skills and ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of multistate lending regulations is a plus.

Licensing

  • Must enroll and maintain active registration with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS).
  • Notary public certification is preferred or is willing to be obtained within 12 months.
