Title: IT Automation Engineer SRE - Linux


Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced SRE with a strong background in operations and expertise in automation. As an SRE, you will primarily focus on operations and infrastructure while leveraging your automation skills to enhance the efficiency and reliability of our services. You will work closely with the development teams, providing guidance, administration, automation, and support for various technologies.


Responsibilities:

• Administer and automate technologies such as Hasicorp Vault, Jenkins, Nexus, Kubernetes (OpenShift), GitHub, GitGuardian, SonarQube, self-hosted server and clients, DataDog, SolarWinds, and Docker images (Linux and Windows).
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python, Jenkins DSL/Groovy, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, and Ansible, to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
• Utilize your strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems to provide administration and troubleshooting support for these tools.
• Apply active directory and LDAP concepts to manage RBAC and authentication systems effectively.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Nexus, ensuring seamless delivery of software and services.
• Enhance observability using DataDog and maintain reliable operations.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support and troubleshoot operational issues when necessary.
• Demonstrate a self-starter attitude, effectively balancing priorities and managing time.
• Maintain a well-organized approach and display a customer service mindset in all interactions.
• Apply agile practices, working in two-week sprints, and gather requirements to design and implement solutions with a holistic view of the company's context.
• Contribute to documentation efforts, writing in Confluence and creating informative readme files.
• Demonstrate a willingness to help and teach others, setting coding and automation standards, and upholding a strong focus on security.

• Proven experience as an SRE, with a focus on operations and a strong background in automation.
• Strong proficiency in automation scripting languages such as Python, Jenkins DSL/Groovy, PowerShell, Bash, and Ansible.
• Experience with using and maintaining CI/CD tools, including Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, including administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with active directory, LDAP, and RBAC concepts.
• A strong understanding of containerization technologies; RedHat OpenShift would be a plus.
• Proficiency in source code management using GitHub.
• Experience with observability tools such as DataDog.
• Excellent organizational skills, time management, and ability to balance priorities effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with agile practices, working in two-week sprints.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to write communications such as blog posts.

1. Ability to write and understand Jenkins DSL, and Jenkins Groovy code.

1. Experience running Jenkins jobs and troubleshooting errors.

1. Experience with keeping services running, secure, and LCM (Lifecycle Management).

1. Strong operational support and troubleshooting skills.

1. Experience with Python and Ansible.

1. Knowledge of Change Management and ITIL practices.

1. Strong documentation skills in Confluence.

1. Experience with Linux and Windows.

1. Knowledge of active directory and LDAP.

1. Participation in an on-call rotation and monthly Saturday maintenance windows.
