Job Description

Position: Audience Team Intern (Remote)
Location: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Virginia, Maryland (Tri-state areas only)
Duration: 6-month internship, starting February 17
Compensation: $17 - $19 per hour

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our audience team for a dynamic, hands-on internship. This remote position is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in social media, content marketing, and audience engagement. You will work closely with our Director of Engagement, contributing to our efforts to connect with and grow our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule and manage social media posts, curating content across platforms such as X/Twitter, Instagram, Threads, and Substack.
Analyze data using analytics tools, providing actionable insights to help guide our strategy.
Stay up-to-date with social media trends in the publishing industry, offering suggestions to improve our engagement and reach.

Ideal Candidate:

Strong attention to detail and excellent writing skills.
Proactive and able to take initiative in your work.
Familiarity with content marketing best practices is helpful, though not required.
Experience in journalism or marketing is a plus, but not essential.
