Job Description

About Halliday:

Halliday is the commerce automation network for modular chains. We are a young, venture-backed fintech startup helping to bring Web3 to users and enterprises around the world.

With Halliday, developers can accept payments from any blockchain token or fiat currency, with settlements in the token of their choice. Developers no longer need to keep up with the countless chains and VMs launched, saving thousands of hours of research and integration. Commerce automation provides instant access to any onchain currency, streamlining payments across dapps and ecosystems.

Backed by a16z and #Hashed, our team comes from Stanford, Harvard, and Carnegie Mellon, and has years of experience at leading technology companies and Web3 protocols, including Meta, Netflix, Compound and more.

What you will do

Take ownership over a project. Design, discuss, and implement production projects with members of the Halliday team, which entails:

  • Exploring protocol design, learning from and working with our blockchain architects
  • Interacting with numerous networks, protocols, and smart contracts to build functionalities
  • Building services, web servers, and comprehensive test suites to provide for our products and services
  • Blueprint, build, and deploy both internal and external API endpoints
  • Experience the startup culture of a close, intimate, and fast-paced team, and learn about the structure, roles, and responsibilities of each member in an early startup
  • Discover — through first-hand work — the exciting and fast-growing world of blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies
  • Continuously think about new ways to develop and improve our products, and contribute to building digital civilization
  • Have the opportunity to receive a full-time offer upon completion of the internship. For international students considering full-time options - in addition to our competitive compensation package and benefits, we offer visa sponsorship!

Who we are looking for

Students pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related fields, or have experience building and hacking on projects

  • Quick learner and passionate about picking up new technologies and hacking on novel ideas
  • Located in or willing to relocate to the SF/Bay area for the duration of the internship (Summer 2025)
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student at a U.S. college or university
