Special Education Teachers Needed in South suburbs of Chicago! Seeking experienced Special Education teachers interested in working with highly engaged students. Location(s): Tinley Park, Blue Island.

2024-2025 School Year.

Elementary, Middle and High School Openings.

Salary: 

Pay ranges from $52-$55/hr. (w2)

• Full time M-F, 37.5 - 40 hours/week.
• Contract signing and completion bonuses available.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Applicants must hold appropriate Current Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator Licensure with Special Education Endorsement (LBS1).
• Excellent communication skills with students, teachers and parents.
• Knowledge of current teaching techniques for students with disabilities.
• Ability to write & implement Individual Education Plans (IEP’s).
• Ability to work cooperatively with support personnel on a daily basis.
• Satisfactory special education teaching experience.

JOB SUMMARY:
The teacher is responsible to the Building Principal for working collaboratively with school staff to develop and implement effective specialized instruction that meets each individual’s goals contained within the Individual Education Plan and other targeted interventions; creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; and employing effective instructional techniques for learners with disabilities.
