Job Overview
As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and improving supply chain and logistics strategies to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely product delivery. Your role will involve managing inventory, optimizing fulfillment processes, and implementing process improvements to enhance overall operations. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented leader with a strong background in supply chain management, particularly in inventory and fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies, including procurement, material management, and distribution.
Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Monitor key supply chain performance indicators (KPIs) to track and achieve efficiency targets.
Identify and address bottlenecks, recommending and implementing process improvements.
Utilize IT systems to manage stock levels, delivery schedules, and transportation costs.
Oversee the procurement of goods and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and supplier reliability.
Manage inventory costs while maintaining optimal stock levels to meet service demands.
Stay updated on industry trends and integrate new technologies to enhance supply chain operations.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms.
Address and resolve issues related to shipments and order fulfillment in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Aerospace, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supply chain management role, preferably within aerospace manufacturing.
Strong background in inventory management, fulfillment, and cost control.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, ERP systems, and warehouse management tools.
In-depth understanding of supply chain processes and their interdependencies.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage and develop teams while fostering a collaborative work environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
Experience implementing lean methodologies and process improvement initiatives.
