Job Title: Patient Access Coordinator
Job Description Work with 2-3 different EMR systems. Check in and check out patients. Verification of date of birth and insurance. Collect payment (credit card/check). Create appointments for patients checking out. Contact patients for 'no-shows' or rescheduling appointments. Send out dictated letters from doctor via email to patients.
Hard Skills
- 1 year medical experience (preferably ophthalmology experience, but very open to front office medical experience)
Soft Skills
- High level of customer service skills
- Ability to work in a high-volume environment (60+ patients per day)

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in San Antonio, Texas.
Work Environment
M-F, 6:00AM - 6:30PM must be available to work between those hours. On days the team travels to other clinics, they will likely be scheduled earlier. Some overtime is to be expected. Dress code: Navy blue scrubs, tennis shoes, and face mask are required. Everyone at the Spurs Lane clinic travels to other clinics in SATX as needed. On travel days, they will still go to the Spurs Lane location where they will be driven together to the clinic they are supporting that day. They will be paid their hourly during the drive (this results in a good amount of paid overtime!). There are no set days they travel. Some weeks may be more than others. This role is highly collaborative and will be working alongside other patient access coordinators and directly with the physicians.
