PKT Enterprises has an immediate full-time opening for Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in the Inver Grove Heights area for Full-Time hours M-F from 2pm-10pm. The role of a DSP involves coming along side persons with disabilities to provide aide and opportunities that may be difficult for them to do independently; this includes getting out in the community and being involved in fun activities. Some other responsibilities would include assisting with client programming, preparing meals, passing medications, doing laundry & house cleaning, assisting with medical appointments. Full training will be provided

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Proof of General Educational Development (GED) Tests Completion
• Candidates must be comfortable working with individuals with behaviors

Requirements:

• Must be able to work on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays
• A Valid Driver's License
• Able to read, write, and speak the English language at a level that is able to be understood by the individuals receiving services
• Dependable Vehicle
• Good Driving Record
• Car Insurance in Employee's Name
• At Least 19 Years Old
• Able to lift 50lbs

PKT Enterprises is actually the name we do business as, and comes from our corporate name, Paraklatos, Incorporated. The word Paraklatos is Greek for “advocate” or “counselor,” implying a “coming along side” role, a position with a responsibility that we believe to be very important.

We began with one home in St. Paul and have gradually grown to our current number of 11 residential group homes in the St. Paul and Minneapolis area. The type of assistance we provide depends on the needs and desires of the individuals we serve.
