ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with Royal Caribbean International’s The Royal Way, SQM standards, USPH guidelines, environmental, and safety policies. Each shipboard employee may be required to perform all functions in various food and beverage service venues throughout the ship. In accordance with Royal Caribbean International’s philosophy of Anchored in Excellence, each employee conducts oneself in a professional and courteous manner at all times. This consists of physical and verbal interactions guests or fellow shipboard employees and/or in the presence of guest contact and crew areas.
Each shipboard employee reports to their workstation assignment on time and properly groomed and dressed according to Royal Caribbean International’s brand standards. This includes a clean uniform, nametag, and any other uniform related item.; Receives, stores, and issues food and beverage and related items. Maintains proper inventory management techniques (FIFO), requisitioning guidelines, shrinkage and spoilage logs. Utilizes proper key control procedures.; Arranges food according to stock and rotates food items to ensure the freshest quality. Follows procedures for disposing of spoiled items and transports to designated collection areas.; Operates forklift and other related equipment used in the provision area.; Arranges, cleans and sanitizes the storerooms, freezers and provision areas according to USPH standards. Operates cleaning equipment, scrapers, brooms and variety of hand and power tools to maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner and according to USPH standards.; Uses a variety of cleaners and chemicals following all proper and safety regulations. Wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adheres to MSDS specifications. Mixes water and detergents or acid in container to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. Maintains cleaning supplies and equipment in go working order. Requisitions supplies and equipment when needed.; Participates in scheduled physical inventory counts to verify inventory accuracy.; Relieves the Storekeeper – F&B as directed by management.; Notifies management of the malfunction of lighting, heating a ventilation equipment.; Attends meetings, training activities, courses and all other work related activities as required.; Performs related duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience Inventory Management would be helpful, but not required; Ability to calculate basic math including addition, subtraction and understanding conversions; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Candidate should be computer literate with the ability to utilize tools and technology to complete job tasks; Strong attention to detail and organization skills are a plus; Ability to learn and follow proper inventory management procedures such as stock rotation, proper requisitioning, cycle counts, etc. Previous inventory experience preferred.; Ability to apply customer service skills, according to Royal Caribbean International’s brand standards, when interacting with guests and coworkers.; Completion of high school or basic education equivalency preferred.;
